Fort Collins police: Get off your bike

Print Comment
Fort Collins police will start tougher enforcement of dismount zones in the city as the weather warms and pedestrians and business owners worry about safety on the city's paths and sidewalks.

Biking and skateboarding on city streets is illegal where signs prohibit riding in Fort Collins.

For bicyclists uncomfortable riding on busy streets such as College Avenue downtown, police say to use designated bike lanes on streets such as Remington and Mason streets on either side of College Avenue. Alleyways can also be used for bikes and skateboard.
