A man who withdrew cash from an ATM in west Fort Collins last week told police he was the victim of an armed robbery, police said.
The 20-year-old man, whose name was not released, went to a Wells Fargo ATM outside a King Soopers at 1015 S. Taft Hill Road to take out some cash around 9:15 p.m. May 2.
While retrieving his card, two men entered the glassed-in ATM area, brandished a knife and a black handgun and demanded the cash he’d withdrawn, also demanding that he withdraw more money.
After the man took out the maximum amount allowed, he ran north, away from the ATM, and the suspects ran south.
The two suspects are described as a black male, about 6-foot-1, mid- to late-20s, wearing a white ball cap with possible black pinstripes, a white hoodie, baggy blue jeans, and sunglasses. The other suspect is a slender white male, mid to late 20s, wearing a dark hoodie with a black satin jacket with embroidered squares.
Anyone with information about the incident should contact Detective Mike Boward at 970-416-2619 or Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868.
