Local Liquor Retailers Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month marks the start of the gift-giving season and local liquor retailers in Fort Collins are offering Pink Ribbon Wines such as Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon that support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

President of Per Bacco Distributing, Inc. in Littleton, CO, Debi Reimers, said that the Pink Ribbon Wine label has not only been sold to breast cancer survivors, but has also been gifted to breast cancer advocates including doctors, nurses, friends and family members.

“It’s a great wine, at a great price, supporting a great cause,” said Reimers in a press release.

According to the American Cancer Institute, approximately 2,000 women in Colorado are diagnosed annually with breast cancer, and approximately 500 women die each year in Colorado from breast cancer. Breast Cancer Awareness Month provides a unique opportunity to encourage women to learn about breast cancer and to show support to the more than 2.3 million women who are currently living with breast cancer in the U.S.

Pink Ribbon Wines makes a donation from each bottle sold to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and can be found at several locations in Fort Collins such as Wilburs Total Beverage, Warehouse Liquors next to Sam’s Club and Pringles. The wines can also be delivered to any liquor store in Fort Collins if a client requests it.
