Markey, Colorado senators to be in Greeley Saturday for bank forum

A forum will be held Saturday in Greeley to talk about issues related to the closure of New Frontier Bank.

U.S. Sens. Mark Udall and Michael Bennet will be joining Rep. Betsy Markey at the roundtable discussion and listening session from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Greeley Senior Activity Center, 1010 6th St. Also planning to attend will be Colorado Agriculture Commissioner John Stulp.

Representatives from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., the Small Business Administration, the USDA Farm Service Agency and the Colorado Bankers Association will be answering questions about what options are available to farmers, suppliers and others who have been impacted by the closure of the Greeley-based bank. Staff members from the offices of Udall, Bennet and Markey also will be on-hand to help people individually.
