Fort Collins police are seeking the public's help in finding a man who they say missed a court hearing after learning that charges against him in a January shooting would be modified to include first-degree murder.
Jeremiah Christopher Bryant, 21, was arrested in February on accessory charges in the Jan. 12 shooting death of Clinton Hiney, 30, near Colorado State University. He has been free on bail since March.
Police allege Hiney was shot after Bryant and Joshua Douglas Renn, 21, entered an apartment looking for meth and money. Two other men were shot and wounded, but neither has been named.
Renn is being held without bond at the Larimer County jail.
Police say Bryant failed to appear at a May 7 court date after learning the charges against him would be modified.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Detective Jaclyn Shaklee at 970-221-6575, the Fugitive hot line at 970-416-2125, or Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868.
